On 18th February 2020 SHRMF, by its solicitors, made application to the High Court in Bristol seeking a direction that my request was not made for a proper purpose and/or in the alternate does not comply with s116(4) of the Act.
By letter dated 12th February 2020 I also requested the right to inspect and take a copy of the Register of Members of RREC for the reasons set out in the letter. That request was immediately granted.
RREC claims to have more than 7,000 members all of whom are annually invited to make a donation to SHRMF when they renew their subscription and, if they choose to do so, are invited to make such donations under the Gift Aid rules.

On Friday 31st July 2020 the first hearing of the SHRMF application was heard in open court by telephone conference call. The hearing was for directions as to the conduct of the application leading upto the trial of the matter. The trial will be by virtual hearing and any interested person will be able to view it by one of Zoom/Teams/Skype.
